We offer 400+ different student organizations, all run via the Student Organization Resource Center.
Trust us when we say, you will find one if not multiple organizations here to suit your interests. And if you can’t, all you need is ten of your fellow Panthers and a Pitt staff or faculty member to start your own. Organizations can deepen your connection to Pitt while exploring your interests, as well as provide a great way to build valuable skills through leadership roles within your organization.
We have groups focused on academics, like POMS (Pre-Medical Organization for Minority Students), groups focused on the arts, such as the famous Heinz Chapel Choir and one of our largest organizations, the Pitt Band. You can represent the more than 17,000 Pitt undergraduates through the Student Government Board, or join one of Pitt’s 38 fraternities and sororities.
Pitt Panthers also serve our campus and the city of Pittsburgh through volunteer and service opportunities. And to relax after a long day of class work, studying, and volunteering, enjoy our wide-range of club and intramural sports teams.
Learning at Pitt takes place both in and out of the classroom and our organizations serve as the center of student involvement and engagement. We can’t wait to have you as an active Pitt Panther!
