Student Success Programs

Pitt Pell Plus Program

As part of the University’s commitment to investing in students who have the greatest financial need, the Pitt Pell Plus Program initiative will double any Federal Pell Grant that is awarded to any of Pitt’s undergraduate students on all campuses up to the federal maximum Pell Grant amount up to $7,395. Pitt currently enrolls 5,000+ students who receive Pell Grants, with an average award amount of $4,500.

Panthers Forward

Panthers Forward is a University initiative designed to support student success and reduce the burden of student debt. To be eligible, students must be Pittsburgh-campus seniors who are in good standing with the University and have taken out federal loans to fund their senior year.

All valedictorians and salutatorians in the Pittsburgh Public Schools system are guaranteed admission to one of our five Pitt campuses. All eligible students will receive a minimum of $2000* in scholarship funding.

This financial literacy program is available for students seeking the opportunity to learn the money lessons to navigate through college and beyond. The goal is to empower students with the knowledge and tools to make informed financial decisions and accomplish their financial goals for a lifetime.
