U.S. Air Force – U.S. Army – U.S. Navy

ROTC is an educational program designed to provide full-time students an opportunity to become military officers while completing a degree. Students may elect to participate in programs through the Air Force or Army ROTC at the University of Pittsburgh or through the Naval ROTC program at Carnegie Mellon University, as a Pitt student.

Completion of the ROTC program leads to commissions as follows:

  • Second Lieutenant—U.S. Air Force
  • Second Lieutenant—U.S. Army, the Army National Guard, or the U.S. Army Reserve
  • Ensign in the U.S. Navy or Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps

All three programs offer stipends or scholarships.
